In closing, while I, again, have not engaged Mr. Speedie's services as a client, if I were in the unfortunate position where I needed to have a defense lawyer, he would absolutely be the one who I would call first.
Tom has authored stories on changing Illinois laws and regulations for the newspaper in the past, and the stories are informative, and are both interesting and easy to understand for a layperson.
With regards to Mr. Speedie's involvement in the community, he has run for public office before, and in doing so conducted himself in a manner more professional and polite than a person used to watching politicians on the national level might expect. He has served as president of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and he is also a member of the Nashville Community High School board. I regularly cover there meetings and can also attest to Speedie's professionalism and courtesy in those regards.
Before I get into my review, let me preface it by stating that I know Mr. Speedie and I HAVE NOT engaged his services as an attorney personally (thankfully, I haven't had reason to). I also would state that basing your choice in an attorney based on just a Google review would probably not be the smartest thing to do. With that out of the way...
