We were in the area looking at vehicles at a local dealership. To kill time I decided to get our grocery list taken care of. I entered the store with one grandson that had an accident and one who needed a restroom. Staff that greeted us helped me out right away. This store is a tight space, but great selection, produce was wonderful and all of the staff we encountered were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! I failed to mention that I ledty phone in their restroom, called back thirty minutes later and it was already at the service desk waiting for me. Small town above and beyond.

I'm liking it so much more than Wal-Mart. Better service, nicer people and are more likely to help you than Wal-Mart. .would love to see Raymundos Caramel Flan there. It's one of my favorite desserts and I can't get it in Wal-Mart in Mt.Vernon, IL anymore. ....
This Kroger is a great "little" grocery store to pick up some necessities for your home. It has a variety of products, however the store is physically small, the aisles aren't even accommodating for two shopping carts to be side by side. Regarding customer service, I've never had a negative experience with any employee at this Kroger. Regardless if it's a young man stocking shelves and you ask him the location of a product, because he will momentarily stop his present task, and he won't only tell you where a product is located, he walks you there himself, and he pulls the product from the shelf for you. The cashiers will always exchange pleasantries with every customer, and they will always ensure you were able to find every product you intended to purchase. Therefore, if you're looking for full size grocery store, you may need to go to the Kroger or Walmart in Mount Vernon, IL or the Walmart in Du Quoin, IL. I will still recommend this Kroger to others as my family and I are always able to purchase the food and other basic necessities we need for a 2-3 night stay at our weekend home in the area.
